Germany pics

The Cambria sign is where my dad was stationed while in the army. There are so many wonderful castles and beautiful architecture that I really had a hard time picking just what to put on here. You can also see my extended family: Susanne (my sister), her daughter Laura, and Laura's daughter Tamia.....this is the first time I have met my neices and only about the third/fourth time I've met my German half sister, but, we bonded like we have known each other for years. Like we grew up together....what a wonderful experience that was!

My classroom kids

These are the very first students I was blessed to teach! I have a new set of kids this year but, it is sooo nice to be going down the hallway and one of the students in my first class yell out, "Hi Ms. Michelle!!" I cannot believe that I have learned the patience to handle a classroom of 4yr olds....lol! You can google American Community School in Abu Dhabi and see where I work. KG1 Ms Bobbi's class. I will be adding more pics to that site as well.

Hilton Apt Abu Dhabi

This is where we have been living for almost a year now. There are two bedrooms three bathrooms with butt washers in two....love those! A laundry room and huge patio. We live in a tower and as you can see in one of the pics, we have a tiny view of the sky from the back porch. We have the only patio in the building...pretty cool. That's where we put the rowdy bunch! I will post more Abu Dhabi pics as I load them...love yall!

Miss Ruby

This is our adorable cat named Ruby. We have had her for a few months now and she has burrowed her way into our hearts....however, once I'm back from the US (trip in Jan) we will be getting another dog. It seems, that I am a cat AND dog person. Of course, we have't told Ruby....yet...LOL

Thailand trip

I will be adding more pics to this site to share my vacation pics with my family and friends. I still love living in Abu Dhabi! We just experienced their Ramadan. They fast all day so NO ONE is allowed to eat or drink in public until after iftar which usually falls around 6pm. Now they are celebrating EID. Kinda like Christmas, everyone doing good deeds, kids get gifts. I don't know much about the religion except that they are very devoted to it. There are about 5 prayer calls each day that start around 4:30-5am and throughout the day. You can hear the sounds of prayers and song being echoed around the entire city from the surrounding mosques. It is a great reminder to pray if you don't pray all day.....of course, if you drive here you WILL be praying all day....lol.
Well, here are just a few of the pics from the Thailand visit. I will add more as I figure out how to do this. Love and peace to everyone. Michelle
